𝐂𝐅𝐁𝐈𝐒𝐃 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 As school districts across the country are experiencing additional expenses due to COVID-19, the Carrollton-Farmers Branch Independent School District received a phone call about a generous donation from a school district community partner. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐓𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐚 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔.𝐒. 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐬, 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 $𝟐𝟎,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐅𝐁𝐈𝐒𝐃 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦. Their donation will help fund this much-needed program on campuses in our school district. The mission of Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region, Inc. (CISDR) is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. In partnership with local school districts, they provide daily school-based interventions to students in grades K–12 to address academic failure, truancy, behavioral issues, social service needs, and more. The ITServ Alliance is the largest association of IT Services, Staffing, Consulting organizations. The Alliance is the voice of all prestigious IT companies functioning with similar interests across the United States. Part of their mission is to help the community, including school districts in the Dallas metroplex. Representatives from the Dallas Region ITServ Alliance, CISDR, CFBISD, and the USICOC were present at McLaughlin-Strickland Elementary in CFBISD for the check presentation. CFBISD appreciates the Dallas Region ITServ Alliance, the U.S. India Chamber of Commerce, and all our community partners that help support our teachers and students. Your contributions help CFBISD build a thriving community of diverse, global learners.
