The year 2023 began on a positive note for the dozens of ITServe Austin Chapter’s CSR Team members and their young children, who came together on a winter morning, January 28th, 2023 at 2900 West Pecan Street in Pflugerville, TX, sharing their warmth and care for the needy in the local community. The occasion was a Food Donation Event, where 25 ITServe members in the company of their children donated 2500+ lbs of food and essentials to The Circle of Hope Community Center, which is committed to a single goal: striving to make the local community a better place. Through its Food Pantry and Resource Center serving the Central Texas communities of Pflugerville, Round Rock, Austin, Hutto, and Georgetown; Circle of Hope Community Center said, it would be able to use our generous donation in many impactful ways. ITServes over 2,000 families (8,000 individuals) each month helping them with such needed groceries and connecting families with other resources available in the local community, so they have all the tools needed to build a better life for themselves. It was heartening to see the dedication and passion of these volunteers who collectively contributed a total of 60 hours at the service of local population. The enthusiasm of the children, who helped pack, organize and donate the food items was heartwarming, giving hope for the future generations of ITServe members. The generosity, compassion, commitment, and efforts of these volunteers and their young children exemplify the power of our community coming together to make a positive impact in the lives of those who need our support and help, and enabling the Circle of Hope in realizing its mission in making sure every person who walks through its doors feels warmth, hope, and a sense of worth.
