ITServe Philadelphia CSR Volunteers Help At Chester County Food Bank

Event Details

Food Banks provide a valuable and lifesaving service to over 40 million people across the United States, who are living in food-insecure households. We at the ITServe Philadelphia Chapter CSR recognize the need and importance of supporting Food Banks, that serve millions every day by providing food to the people who need it the most.

ITServe Philly Volunteers along with family members came together on March 14th, 9 am - 12 pm at 650 Pennsylvania Drive, Exton, PA 19341, offering our time and resources to the Chester County Food Bank - Warehouse Support for Food Boxes, helping organize a total of 275 food Boxes.

The Chester County Food Bank was formed in 2009 to address the escalating hunger problem in the county. Our primary goal was and still is, to have a viable, sustainable organization that secures, manages, and distributes food to those in need. As the central hunger relief organization, serving more than 160 partner agencies in Chester County, PA, its network of food cupboards, hot meal sites, shelters, and other social service organizations, distributes nearly 3.5 million pounds to neighbors with limited or uncertain access to adequate food.

During our time volunteering at the Chester County Food Bank, we not only packaged food boxes but also had the opportunity to witness the profound impact of our actions on the lives of many. We saw and experienced how these boxes brought relief and hope to individuals and families struggling to make ends meet.

It was indeed heartwarming to be part of a dedicated team that worked tirelessly to ensure that these boxes were not just filled with food but also with compassion and support!
